The Private Sector Federation of Rwanda (PSF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, marking a significant step towards enhancing economic cooperation and private sector engagement between the two countries.
The MoU was officially signed by Mr. Stephen Ruzibiza, Chief Executive Officer of PSF, and Mr. Aziz Alzhanova, representative of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, during a meeting held at the PSF head offices in Kigali, on 26 September 2025.
This strategic partnership is
aimed at fostering closer collaboration between Rwandan and Kazakhstani
businesses, with a focus on; Strengthening bilateral trade relations, facilitating
knowledge exchange and joint business ventures, and Promoting investment
opportunities in key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and
technology.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Ruzibiza emphasized
the importance of international partnerships in driving Rwanda’s private sector
growth:
“This MoU marks a new chapter in our global engagement
strategy. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will create
for our private sector, and we look forward to working closely with the Chamber
of International Commerce of Kazakhstan to promote mutually beneficial business
ventures,” he stated.
Mr. Alzhanova expressed equal optimism, noting that
Kazakhstan is eager to explore emerging markets in Africa and sees Rwanda as a
gateway for broader regional collaboration.
“Our cooperation with PSF opens a promising path for
businesses from both countries to connect, innovate, and invest in each other’s
markets,” he noted.
