What is Policy Advocacy?
PSF's advocacy aims at influencing decisions within economic and social systems and private institutions for the better. Our work ensures the voice of business is heard in every major policy decision affecting Rwanda's private sector, engaging continuously with government, regulators, and international partners on behalf of our members.
What we do
- Position papers on draft laws, regulations, and policies
- Public-private dialogues between PSF leadership and senior government officials
- Business climate research to identify and document barriers to growth
- International advocacy through regional and continental business forums (EAC, AfCFTA)
- Sector-specific advocacy led by cluster chairpersons
Recent wins
- Contributed to tax reform adjustments supporting SME digitalization and post-pandemic recovery.
- Streamlined cross-border trade bottlenecks through active participation in joint border committees.
- Collaborated with regulatory bodies to simplify licensing procedures for key manufacturing sectors.
