Private Sector Federation ("PSF", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Rwandan law.
What we collect
- Personal information you provide when filling forms (name, email, phone, organization, message body).
- Account information if you register on PSF subsidiary sites (Members Portal, BRC, Financing Gateway, Stand Booking, Accounts Center).
- Technical data when you visit psf.org.rw — IP address (aggregated), browser type, pages visited, referring site. Collected via our internal page-view analytics, never via third-party tracking.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiries, suggestions, and feedback.
- To process membership applications and event registrations.
- To send our newsletter (only with your consent — unsubscribe any time).
- To improve our website based on aggregate usage patterns.
- To comply with Rwandan law, including the Rwanda Data Protection and Privacy Law (Law N° 058/2021 of 13/10/2021).
Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- PSF staff who handle your inquiry (limited to who needs to know).
- Service providers under strict confidentiality (SMS gateway, email delivery, hosting).
- Government authorities when legally required.
Your rights
Under Rwandan data-protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of data we no longer need.
- Withdraw consent for any opt-in (newsletter, marketing).
- Lodge a complaint with the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA).

Cookies
We use minimal cookies — primarily for language preference (psf_lang) and authentication across PSF subsidiary sites. No third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Inbox messages: 3 years, then archived.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Member accounts: for the duration of active membership plus 7 years for regulatory records.
Security
We protect your data with industry-standard security measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access control, audit logging on all administrative actions, and regular backups.
Updates
We may update this policy. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this site.
