New Irembo Innovations Shine at PSF Expo 2024
At the PSF Expo 2024, Irembo showcased 111 newly added digital services, its revolutionary payment gateway IremboPay, and the "Byikorere" campaign aimed at empowering citizens to access government services independently.
Irembo, the leading e-government platform facilitating access to government services in Rwanda, is participating in the Private Sector Federation (PSF) Expo 2024 from Thursday, July 25 to August 15 at the Gikondo Expo Grounds.
This year, Irembo is unveiling 111 newly added services on the IremboGov platform, highlighting its dedication to making public and private services easier and more efficient for everyone. For visitors needing assistance with National Identification Agency (NIDA) services, they can stop by Irembo's joint stand, which features a convenient photo booth. Beyond citizen services, Irembo is transforming both the private and public sectors by streamlining processes through its innovative Service Management platform.
This platform has played a huge role in helping public agencies process transactions digitally, allowing citizens to access public services much faster. In 2023 alone, the IremboGov platform processed over 8.7 million transactions, massively improving efficiency and service delivery nationwide. Additionally, Irembo’s payment solution, IremboPay, has revolutionized how people pay for IremboGov services by offering flexible options. Good news is that this payment solution will soon be extended to the private sector as well.
During the annual exposition, Irembo’s main goals are to educate attendees on how to access their services, showcase their service management platform for both public and private sectors, and introduce their payment gateway solutions.
Through this engagement, Irembo aims to support Rwanda's ongoing digital transformation and improve the overall user experience. Alongside the service management platform and payment gateway, a major highlight of Expo 2024 is the introduction of over 100 newly added services under the Mass Service Digitalization Project.
The "Byikorere" campaign, which is designed to build citizens' digital confidence by teaching them to access services online by themselves without needing third parties, is also a big feature at the expo. Visitors will learn about the Ntuyarenze Tariff for Irembo Agents, a standardized fee structure created to ensure transparency and stop overcharging. By clearly showing official service fees, Irembo is actively fighting fraud and protecting citizens from exploitation.
Irembo also makes sure that people without smartphones or internet access are not left behind. They can still get services through multiple channels, including USSD (*909#), mobile phones, the web portal (irembo.gov.rw), and a wide network of local agents. Irembo remains dedicated to helping service providers improve user access anytime and anywhere, with plans for local and global expansion—including branching into the private sector, insurance companies, and digital health.
Overall, at Expo 2024, Irembo aims to celebrate its milestones in digitizing public services and reaffirm its commitment to better accessibility, efficiency, and transparency.
