How the Private Sector Federation came to be.
The Private Sector Federation (PSF) was established in 1999 as the apex private-sector body in Rwanda, formed to represent and advocate for the interests of Rwanda's business community.
PSF emerged from the consolidation of several business associations into a unified voice for the private sector. Through successive reforms — most significantly the 2022 restructuring that organized members into 5 sectoral clusters — PSF has continually adapted to better serve members.
We represent over 3,500 member organizations across Agriculture & Livestock, Industry, Service, Trade, and Specialized clusters. Members range from multinational corporations to micro-enterprises, cooperatives, and youth/women entrepreneur networks.
Our mission remains constant: to be the voice of business in Rwanda — shaping policy, opening markets, building capacity, and creating opportunities for every Rwandan business to thrive.
